Femdot is a standout emcee out of Chicago who has been turning more and more heads as of late, and as he is bunkered down somewhere in the city for this quarantine, he somehow built up enough inspiration to get in the booth and create a new freestyle track for us titled “Superstitious”. Anybody who knows femdot’s music understands that he is arguably the best bar-for-bar artist that Chicago has to offer, and he furthermore proved that statement on this new offering, as he kicked about a minute + fifteen seconds of nothing but straight FIRE. We got to give some love to the producer Gold Haze on this one for providing femdot with this absolutely bass knocking instrumental, it was the perfect beat for femdot to rip apart, any true femdot fan knows what he can do when he gets his hands on a stellar beat like this and he did it yet again. Stream this brand new offering via femdot’s Soundcloud below! Meechie Bravo, an extroverted, energetic, and lively artist has dropped a visual to one of his latest tracks, “Freak,” a part of his recently released EP, RichPrettyGoon. The fast-paced party scenes depicted in the visual for “Freak” depicts exactly what the song portrays in its lyrics and energy. Girls, money, and lots of liquor and clubbing make up the majority of the video, which is exactly what both the song and Meechie himself were going for.
This uptempo joint is great to throw on full volume at any function, and certainly will be a track that carries momentum through the Summer season as a party banger. Meechie’s individualistic, charismatic, and fun style is one that anyone can get behind. Hear and see, Meechie Bravo – Freak, for yourself on YouTube below!

IsaiahG is an artist out of Chicago who we have been supporting here on Lyrical Lemonade for some years now, and this afternoon he is back on our website with his brand new music video for “Rise Up”. Isaiah has always excelled a delivering witty punchline bars one after another, and this track is chock filled with them, as he referenced things like Chance The Rapper with Sox (Social Experiment) fits as well as plenty of others that I’ll let you discover for yourself.
Can’t say I ever expected IsaiahG to shoot a music video in a Panda costume haha, but it turned out well as the director Nightrunner caught some shots of Isaiah all over the city. Watch this brand new music video below! The current climate of rap has been hurting for years thanks to a generation of copy-cat artists and “type” songs, and while there is no inherent problem with this and its categorical nature has helped canonize many of rap’s under-publicized sub-genres, the issue at hand is how sparce innovation has become, and when artists do attempt to go outside of the box to try something new their attempts often come off as generally facetious or attempt to pass it off merely as trolling when it is not well received. It is quite rare for an artist to be able to simultaneously experiment while holding the increasingly short attention spans of their audiences, and this is, at least in my opinion, one of the main hallmarks of great artists in the digital world. Atlanta’s Ola Runt has been able to do this masterfully, pushing the envelope by further warping and developing the trap sound that his city has polished for over a decade now. The Edgewood native is no stranger to criticism and comparison, as he was recently thrust into the public eye after inking a deal with Gucci Mane that made him the new face of 1017 alongside fellow Atlantan. Splashwoe is somebody who we have been familiar with here at Lyrical Lemonade for quite some time now, and today he is finding himself on our website with his latest visual to “Leave Me Alone”.
It’s clear that when Splashwoe! Was in the studio recording this one, he was trying to create a melodic record with the hook but was still trying to talk his shit during the verses, kicking a few different rapid flows while cruising through his city with his crew.
Take some time out of your Wednesday to watch this brand new visual below and if you enjoy it then be sure to hit that thumbs up button on YouTube. Directed by Scxry Kid. I wasn’t always into Rap music growing up. I was raised around rock songs and radio hits, but when I got into middle school and high school, Rap became a major part of my life.
Although I started listening to the major mainstream songs at the time, my friend group helped expand my horizons and introduced me to different artists and subgenres that would go on to shape my preferences and the music I enjoy today. I know, a lot of you probably don’t care too much about my personal backstory as a music listener, but I had to preface this because Rockie Fresh was one of the artists who my friends put me onto. He ended up expanding my minuscule knowledge of Rap music in ways I could never even imagine and opened my eyes to the incredible wonderland that is Chicago Hip-Hop. Electric Highway was sort of the soundtrack to some of my high school years and for that, I’ll forever be grateful. Although there are many other artists with different sounds and styles that helped shape my penchants as well, Rockie Fresh played a pivotal role in the music I enjoy today. Although I haven’t quite kept.
